Pleasure, joy, grace, happiness, faith, abundance, infinite knowledge--all is available to those who surrender to "The Path of Purification" (the title of a well-known work by Buddhaghosa, written in the 5th Century A.D.). "Many are called, but few are chosen" (Matthew 22:14). --Reverend Dr. Albert Gani
Who We Are:
The
Church of the Path® is dedicated to teaching life improvement in accordance with
Spiritual Law.
To
all those people who are disillusioned
with traditional, conventional religion, we say to them,
"Rejoice!" You are closer to God than those who have tried to inculcate you in
the old tradition. Open yourself to who God really is and what the meaning of
your life is supposed to be. Consider the following points:
1) God wants you to be happy.
2) He is not interested in your saying pious platitudes or conforming to other little superstitions that were developed and adhered to by your religion of origin. Think about it.
The
Church of
the Path®, which is now centered in Austin, Texas, celebrated its
twenty-first anniversary December of 2007, having been formed in
1986 by Reverend Dr. Albert Gani and a group of like-minded friends in McAllen, Texas. The
founders of this new church wanted more than misinterpreted parables, threats of hell and
damnation or the platitudinal teachings of positive thinkers. They hungered for practical
self-renewal, true spiritual
rebirth, and a setting where they could find
their own spirituality.Self-cleansing involves the search for "the beam in thine own eye" (Matthew 7:3) before blaming others and outer circumstances for what is happening in your life. How have we created the situations in which we find ourselves involved? We must link what is within us with what is outside of us. Many thinkers have taught us this. The relationship between the perceiver and the perceived defines consciousness according to Chinese thinkers and later to Western thinkers.
We do this through prayers (three weekly services), meditations, teaching classes and lessons.
Reverend
Dr. Albert Gani is the first minister of the Church of
the Path®, located in Austin, Texas,
which is dedicated to teaching life renewal in accordance with Spiritual Law. He
encourages those working with him by using his own crises and struggles as examples of
what can be overcome. Perhaps most apparent and inspiring of all his qualities to those
whom he has helped is his courageous, ethical and loving stance for the truth, regardless
of the outcome.
We are particular about those with whom we pray and practice our religion. In order to participate in our activities you must qualify by calling and having an interview.
Unlike other churches, we are not out to "sell" our church to you. A few simple questions from us will determine whether you qualify to come to our activities.
"Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you..." (John 15:16).
